Who we are
The guides are written by the Thai Visa Pre-Check team of TDAC Digital Services. We check visa documents. We are not a law firm, not an immigration adviser and not the Thai government.
We sell a document check for the DTV and the tourist e-Visa. We do not apply for you, and only the embassy decides your visa.
Our method
Each guide starts from the pages of the Thai embassies and consulates, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the e-Visa portal thaievisa.go.th and the official bodies that issue documents, such as national police record offices.
We read each source page and note the date we read it. The sources list at the end of each guide shows that date and what the page supports. A number in brackets, for example [3], links a statement to its source.
Rules differ by embassy. When posts word a rule differently, the guide names the post and quotes what that post says.
Which sources we use
Official pages come first: the embassy or consulate page for your post, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the authority that issues the document.
News reports, agents and forums are only leads. We do not state their figures as facts. When an official page is an image we cannot read, or is not available, the guide says so.
What unverified means
Unverified means we could not confirm the statement on an official page we could read. Treat it as a question for your embassy before you pay or submit.
We do not put an unverified number in a page title or in the description that search engines show.
Dates and updates
Each guide shows two dates. Checked on is the last date we read its sources. First published is the date the guide went online.
The What changed list at the end of each guide records each change with its date. We check a guide again when we learn of a change, for example from an embassy notice or a reader's e-mail.
Report an error
If a guide is wrong or out of date, write to support@tdac.info with the page and, if you can, the embassy page that shows the change. We reply and correct the guide.
